Excursions are possible to Shali Peak- the highest point in the area or to Cragnano (3 km) with its elegant guest house set in a delightful flower-filled garden. (9.6 Kms).
At a distance of 13 km from Shimla on the Shimla-Naldhera Road is the small village of Mashobra. Mashobra is well known for bountiful apple orchards and thick forests of oak and pine trees. A temple dedicated to Goddess Durga is worthy of visit in Mashobra. From Mashobra, you can also undertake a trek to the Shail Peak, the highest peak in the entire area. On a walking distance from Mashobra is the village of Sipi known for a fair that is held every year in the month of April. From Mashobra, one can go on excursion tours to Shimla, Naldhera, Bekhalty, Craignano and Parmanoo. |
